Changes in next release (0.8.6)
Got a fair bit planned, but I prefer not to announce things until I've actually finished them...

Right now I'm mostly working on optimisations. Trying to make combat a bit faster, and will also be looking at dungeon movement.

The one thing I have finished (other than optimisations), is 'coaches'. Each town has a coach service to other nearby towns. For a small fee and a few turns (less than it would cost you to move there), you can hop on a coach and end up in another town instantly. You'll have to pay the entry tax, of course, but you'll have no chance of being attacked.

I'll add more info about the other stuff as I finish it :)

Will that warrior bonus be retroactive for preexisting warriors?

Re: Changes in next release (0.8.6)
Reasonably big change to the way claiming land works:

[li] Parties are limited to 10 individual sector claims per day [/li]
[li] The amount of land claimed by buildings has been increased [/li]
[li] Garrisons can now (optionally) claim land, if they stay in a sector for more than a couple of days [/li]
[li] Land not claimed by towns, buildings or garrisons will 'decay' to neutral over time [/li] </ul>

The idea here is to make the focus of claimed land on buildings and garrisons. This should make it much hard to build large kingdoms, and will likely require cooperation between several parties.

Interesting, any changes being made to eliminate the ease of another party destroying a building?

I think it might be a good idea to hide where the capital city information is.  All we did was look for the capital then claim all the land around it so everything would start revolting or going neutral

Re: Changes in next release (0.8.6)
That will be harder in the next release. There are limits around claiming land. Plus there will be more incentive to use garrisons/buildings, so those will have to be taken out (you can't claim land away from those without removing them).

Im trying to design my kingdom around the next patch, how much more land will buildings claim? and will towns claim more land as well?

Re: Changes in next release (0.8.6)
    Towns still claim the same.

Towers will claim 5x5, Forts 7x7, Castles 9x9. Garrisons will also claim 3x3, if ordered to and in the same sector for more than 2 days.

Yes, it'll be interesting to see if some tactics around them emerge...

would also be nice if you can implement the possibility to make weapons and armor indestructible for a good amount of money....sometimes i find a cool piece of equip, for example a sling, which i never "build up" cause the durability is far too less to make the piece workable...
