The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
I was wandering around today exploring some of my lesser-known corners of the map, and decided to pick up a few gold by running a fetch quest in a nearby dungeon.  When I got there, there was a stack of equipment laying on the entrance - including 3 suits of plate mail!  When I got back to town, there were another 4 suits waiting for me in the shops.  Just the thing for a growing party like Acquisitions, Inc.  :)

Re: The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
Those items are won in dungeon fights. It looks like there were too many items to carry so the player opted to drop them in order to keep his party mobile. When you 'drop' an item anywhere in a dungeon the item is deposited at the entrance to the dungeon. Possibly he was using mainly archers, which tend to have low carrying capacity or perhaps his warriors did not have enough strength.

You can get pretty good items from the higher level creatures in a dungeon - especially dragons.

One of my original characters was in a garrison by himself, and got attacked by a wandering group of Cyclopses (very rare at the moment). His weapon was broken, and he got pwned! RIP Bob  :'(

About 14 or 15... not that high, I know, but it's the sentimental value...

I put all my top level guys in a garrison, then took one of them into the dungeons to upgrade him. He had great armour so wasn't taking any damage. Then somehow he died and I lost everything.

Now I'm at the party reset screen. What have I done?

:'(

Heh... yeah, I think at some point you might be able to reform your party from a garrison... but for now, sadly, it's bad luck...

Still, Greebs lost his party and managed to build it back up in a few days (something that will probably be made a lot harder at some point). I'm sure you can do the same.

Yeah for sure. I messed my party up trying out all of the new features. Owned too many towns. A fresh start will be nice.

Re: The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
While we are on the subject; one player who shall remain nameless got his party killed in the wilderness by another player's party, who shall also remain nameless, because there was a bug in the fleeing which took the health of all garrison members into account when deciding if your party would flee from a battle. She's a tough old world ;]

Re: The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
I suspect (without having any first hand knowledge) that the first party (who shall remain nameless) was sick of having his garrisons attacked on several distinct occasions (which shall remain numberless) by the second party in question (who shall, of course, remain nameless) and was delighted (to a measureless degree) to encounter their garrison in the wilderness (which shall remain trackless and enigmatic). I would speculate (without having any actual data) that this first party looks forward with great anticipation (which shall remain unquantifiable) to encountering the second party again, if the opportunity arises.

Were you offline at the time? You could have been attacked by another party while you were in the dungeon. I don't know if it is fixed yet, but there was a bug where parties deep in a dungeon would appear on the map at the entrance to the dungeon. For that reason it is a bad idea to log off with your party in a dungeon. Or it could have been a group of dragons which can mount a series of hard hitting attacks focused on one player. Your party is gone, so there is no combat log, so it is impossible to tell, unless Mutant has some kind of record in the system.

The next release will probably give you some info if you were wiped out offline... including access to the last few combat logs.

Well, spectres probably didn't do it, and another party can't attack you if you are already engaged in combat. This is a bit similar to something that happened to me - kind of a bug - if you log into the game from the link in your activation email, then if the new day begins while you are online, you get taken to the 'create new party' screen. If this happens to you again, try logging out and in again. It should save your party.

Did you sell him? You used to be able to sell dead party members. If this is the same Bob, I couldn't resist buying him, renaming him 'Bob the stiff' and selling him again. I am curious - why did you not revive him?

Re: The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
You can't revive characters who are in a garrison when the whole garrison gets wiped out.

I had a good bit of luck just now - found some indestructible Full Plate Mail!  Now I just need to find a good smith...

Re: The Lucky/Unlucky Thread
Stone Golems just killed 3 of my party - it's a lot easier to rotate in new blood than it is to find good armor and blacksmiths for them.  :/
